even the dead are beautiful!

I love trees, and when I can I find walks through them. Bob found this lovely walk in Carnoustie and I explored further - past the Millennium forest and round by the cemetery. There are fields and hedgerows and most of all beautiful trees - many of them very old. Some have been ravaged by storms but they stand austere remnants - like standing stones - making the passage of time.

Beeches are my favourites but there are so many different ones in the woodland that it is a truly beautiful place frequented by dog walkers and the odd photographer. Very odd!
