A month on
This little one appeared in my blip in October. He had a bad foot and we thought he would lose it. He still has attitude and will jump at least 4 inches off the ground if you disturb him.
We are getting a lot of calls from people who have found a hedgehog that's in trouble but when it comes to getting it to us as soon as possible, they have something else to do before they can get it to us.
Every minute counts at this time of year. If you find a hog in trouble find a deep box, put some bedding in the bottom along with some heat source a hot water bottle for example. Wrap the bottle in a cloth and the put the hog directly onto it and cover the hog. Then put the box in a quiet room. Then call a local carer or your vet to get help.
Remember, if you see a hedgehog out during the day it is in trouble. Do not leave it alone.
