A Peaceful Sculpture

Today as I was walking across campus, I noticed a sculpture that I had never noticed before. It is off the paved pathway maybe 100 yards or so, tucked in among some trees that, as you can tell, have mostly shed their leaves for the season. The girl on the right is reading a love letter (you can actually read some of the words on it), perhaps from a boyfriend off at war, and the boy on the left (her brother?) is just reading a book. On the ground to the girl's left is an old Panasonic radio that I like to think they are using to listen to a Brooklyn Dodgers game.

Peaceful, isn't it?
