FOR THOSE IN PERIL
Today is the Feast of St Clement (late 1st Century), known as Clemens Romanus or Clement of Rome; patron saint of boatmen, lighthousekeepers, and sick children.
Entering into the occasion, my part of the Feast was a cheese and celery sandwich for lunch.
With automatic lighthouses these days I'm thinking that Clement now divides his time between the sailors and the sick children. Having several boating relations, and on rather high seas at times, I thank him profusely.
I don't know of any poorly children just now, but to all sick children out there I send best wishes and hope they are well again very, very soon.
