RIP Mumbles

We lost Mumbles the cuddly monkey today.

Goodbye to a dear friend of Sam's.

He never complained.

He always greeted you with a smile.

He helpfully "boinged" every time he hit the floor, so as to alert you to being dropped, but, sadly, today, he was passed to another owner courtesy of a supermarket shopping trolley.

Thankfully he has a replacement coming from the Amazon warehouse (callous owners that we are), but the original Mumbles from Mumbles (South Wales) will always be dear to our hearts.

And at least he's cheaper to replace than some of the other things I've broken / lost during my distracted maternity leave, which include car keys, zoom lens, front door (broken, not lost), and microwave (ditto). Expensive, this first year or so of motherhood! But I wouldn't have it any other way!
