madness of an autumn prairie cold front

I spent most of the day training and tutoring and re-caffeinating and somewhere between sober work and jumpy free time, I caught a glimpse of a brilliant tree in the magnifying mirror I have with my makeup on my desk. I added a little shadow and here we are.

I'm always a bit hesitant to upload a day's blip in the middle of the day, but something about the way this looked like the moon I couldn't capture last night and something about the color of the leaves really felt right to me. The natural distortion caught my attention and as I'm starting to feel better today, I'll take a happy accident. :)
