gathering moss

Beautiful, real winter weather this weekend. Cold, bright and sharp.
Christmas has well and truly arrived in the DM household in the form of an eight foot pine tree swaying precariously in the corner of our lounge. Simply decorated (it would take a damn sight more decorations to make this giant look any where near fussy!!) and smelling gorgeous it's kicked the festive spirit off good and proper.
Went for a walk in local woods this afternoon, the river running really fast and quite deep. In summer it runs completly dry! Stupid Dog decided to go white water rapid riding down it. Couldn't get him out, he loved it. He's now drying off, steaming away gently in front of the coal fire.
