Boats

IT was a typical, dull, November day today. However, the sun had peaked out this morning so I had (Naively) mentioned going to the swings at Morecambe. It was mid afternoon by the time we got there and the rain was dotting down on us. Still, I was hopeful of getting a Blip... I liked this one - it reminded me of the picture I took of Farrah on the swing at Kendal Castle, but it wasn't quite right.

However, the views at Morecambe are so spectacular - if you are familiar with 'Arnside and Beyond's estuary pictures then you will know what I mean! Unfortunately I can not compete with his amazing pictures, but I gave it a shot. If you will pardon the pun...

If you get time to have a look at the ones on flickr you will get a feel for why I love it so. Despite the run down state of much of Morecambe I can still imagine it during its glamourous past. The deisre to open a cafe or guesthouse there manifests its self deeper each time I visit... Or perhaps that's just as a result of reading about the exciting developments in 'Life of Tiree's journal....
