Backed Up

Xiamen is known around China for it's cleanliness. The two months that I've been here, I've been pretty impressed at how it maintains itself (especially in comparison to other Chinese cities). Granted you'll still catch a random rat cross your path, like today when my colleagues and I saw a one scamper across the road. Then, out of the corner of our sight a guy jumped in the air and stomped it to death! We all were stunned at what happened and just kept walking to get away from from it. EEEEk! I'm cringing from just writing about it here.
