Rivelin Valley
I had a meeting in Hillsborough this morning and stopped on the way back for a few autumny shots. This is the Rivelin Valley road which has the claim to fame for being one of the main places Seb Coe trained before breaking 3 world middle distance records in the space of a month. Being around 4 miles long, flat, and straight, he was able to run 800m up to eight times, at ridiculous speeds with ridiculously short recovery periods between each one. I run along the same valley with Hallamshire Harriers. Same club, same road, half the speed.
