Bee hives in the orchard
We had sun all day today - what blessed relief.
I went to say hello to my friend J who was busy planting roses this afternoon. Walking around her garden in search of today's blip, I remembered the 20 bee hives that sit between her apple orchard and the bluebell wood. There were quite a lot of bees out and about making the most of the autumn sunshine. They belong to 2 local bee keepers; one of them's a Druid! Because J's garden is 100% pesticide-free, she lets them keep their hives in her garden and they pay her 'rent' in organic honey. Superb honey it is too.
Apologies to all for my comments falling off a bit as life has suddenly taken a rather hectic turn.
