Zwarte Piet

An exciting day for the girls today. In the morning we went to my workplace where Sinterklaas and his companions the Zwarte Pieten came to visit the children. Lots of cheering, singing and then the girls all got a great present too.

In the afternoon, Sinterklaas arrived in our village. Luckily for our girls, he always arrives by boat right at my in-laws house. We can just go outside and stand on their private jetty to watch Sinterklaas and the Zwarte Pieten. All the other kids and their parents have to stand in the crowd on the other side of the canal.

I took lots of pictures but this one, of a Zwarte Piet on the stage of the Widde Meuln windmill, I liked best for my blip today. As you can see, it has been a very grey and foggy day...
