boring, but accurate ~

~ as a journal entry about what I've been doing this week.

Kernel panics, weeding hard drives, filling one up, buying another, waiting for it to arrive, zeroing it out, backing up the primary drives, the computer crashing again in the midst of one such backup, etc, etc, etc....

(The estimated time to write zeros to the disk shown in this image, by the way, is wildly optimistic, as it came at the end of either a six hour session or a separate nine hour one.)

So my apologies that I've neglected to comment on anyone else's work in the meantime and that my own offerings have been both late in the posting and not all that interesting anyway.

But, much of such delays, at least, may now be behind us...
