With this Ring

54 Happy years of marriage seems like something from a story book these days. 54 happy years of being together just her and him, no-one else. 54 years of Happily indulging each other as often as money and time allowed. 54 years of sharing each day, each moment, each sorrow and laugh. 54 years as one unit. Who knows what the future holds.

I can't tell you how hard it was to get my parents to hold hands like this. Not because they didn't want to but because arthritis and illness makes this a very difficult thing to achieve. And yet, after another hard day, it seemed so important to me to capture this special moment for them, lest they should forget.

......Well that and I was glued to the house again and unable to taste the unseasonably mild weather. Helpless, I had to submit to yet more christmas pudding tastings. Still nothing has beaten m&s luxury pudding, but, relentless I shall continue the taste testing so that you can be assured of the best pudding come Christmas. Now, where are those elasticated waistbands I hear speak of?
