Another tag
It's beginning to feel as if the past month has been top-heavily devoted to cars, whether it' s getting them fixed or organising insurance or tax or testing or handovers or toll zappers or whatever, and still it goes on.
I was checking the Dublin City Council web site yesterday for something else and spotted an item about half-price parking for the Christmas period. The offer only applies if you pay using the Parking Tag system, so I checked it out. Liking the sound of it, I duly registered. With surprising efficiency, my tag arrived in today's post, and now I'm actually looking forward to using it for the first time - how sad is that?!
Seriously, it does sound like a good idea. All too often it seems that parking machines are always as far away as possible wherever I park. It'd be good to be able to send a text instead and not to have to bother about rushing back to move the car or put more money in the machine. We shall see. Mind you, the car's windscreen is gradually becoming festooned with tags and stickers of all sorts, so hopefully nothing else will arrive on the scene which involves fixing something to it.
Apart from that, it was a bit of a nothing day.
LATER EDIT: Apologies to Red and Joesblips whose comments have disappeared. I'd posted this for the wrong day (Friday instead of Thursday) due to incorrect EXIF data.
