Six more objects
Six more things in the type box. Top left is a key badge from Shelter, the housing charity. Think they sent it to me when I used to send them a monthly donation, back in the days when I earned a good salary in IT. Middle of the top row is my house badge from secondary school - Grove Academy in Dundee. As I remember there were four 'houses' with four different colours, and throughout the year, points for all sorts of things were added into a running total. It all seemed a bit contrived, and seemed to matter most in sport, when games sessions every so often were organised to represent the houses - effectively a consistent random selection. The green "C" was for Craigie. Think the other three were Balgillo, Grange and Dalhousie - Yellow, Red and Blue. Top right is a souvenir badge from the museum in Dundee commemorating the railway engine that was pulling the train that crashed during the Tay Rail Bridge disaster in 1879. Bottom right is a fossil belemnite - a creature like a squid. Don't know exactly where this one came from, but probably picked up on beach somewhere in my childhood fossil-gathering days. Perhaps from Denmark. Middle of the bottom row is another of L's objects, a German anti-nuclear energy badge from way back. And lastly, bottom left is a medal from a general knowledge quiz I took art in. Think it was organised by the Evening News for sports teams and M roped me into a team for her hockey club, as far as I can remember. We got through to the final and finished third - hence the medal.
