Memories 1: DUSA

As promised, here are some of the contents of the box.

DUSA is Dundee University Student Union. During my 4 years in Dundee, much of my time was spent there, drinking or working. Good good times. In date order, at top left the green stuff is to do with 2004's Refreshers week. The picture of me and the 2litre bottle of bow is on my freshers pass which (although i wasn't a fresher) allowed me free entry to most of the events, and preferential rates etc. for the others. I had to queue to be one of the first 200 into the building after it reoppened from it's huuuuuge facelift/refurbishment to win that pass that would otherwise have cost a small fortune. Mostly, the refurb was successful, even if the (in)famous Tav bar was replaced by the atmosphereless Air Bar. The Liar lost it's island bar which was sadly missed, but proved to be much more practical. Mono never changes. Can't believe I look so young in that pic.

The purple pass and the red wrist-band in the middle represent my time working as a barman in DUSA, 2004/2005 (although both are from 2005). I seem to have aged a lot in that year, but I prefer the older-slightly-more-rugged look of the 2005 me. Working a grad ball was hard work, but good fun, and gave me an idea of what to expect for...

... my own graduation and grad ball in 2007. That grad ball I stayed up all night, and a large part of it was spent putting the world to rights with The People Twitcher. It was the night that we first met each others' partners (although I can't remember them meeting each other, they must have).

There are photos - I will try to get some of them up onto the flickr.

Good times :)
