Shopping

I am sure this will be a recurrent theme for this assignment; shopping and shopping malls - probably the most extreme form of "Christmas hell" - in my opinion.

We could get quite philosophical and discuss what Christmas is really about. But we don't have all day to discuss the consumerist decay of our (western) societies ;-)

This year our families have agreed that we will only give one present and there was a "lottery" to see who got to give to whom. I think it's a great idea, one well considered thoughtful present, as opposed to a lot of "stuff", as being sold in this shopping mall today.
