i saw the ship launch. it was great. my camera memory ran out just as it launched but it's not really something you can take a photo of. or it's just something that i can't really take a photo of.

one moment there's a hulking great ship in front of you. and the next moment, it's gone.

this one did take a few tense moments to get going but it sped along once it'd started.

the bit you can see is obviously not the bit that was launched. it's waiting for the other two thirds to be built and stuck on the end.

the scale of the yard was amazing.

spent the launch chatting to strangers and wondering why i wasnt wearing my walking boots to keep my toes warm)
