In 1966 my family lived in Germany, returning to England just before I was born. Aside from the politics of the time, our family was brought up with an affection and respect for the country, and my daughter carries a German name.

I have little in the way of family memorabilia, it was a welcome surprise to find this on the bookcase when I was looking for something else. I don't know how or why I came to possess this...

Something about the plastic cover screamed sixties to me, and the blue portrait background seemed suitably retro.
