Princess for a Day

Today is my daughter's birthday, and she really knows how to celebrate in style!

This morning, she was up at 2am.
"It's my birthday!" she shouted.
"Happy Birthday! Now go back to sleep!"

At 6am she crept into bed with me.
"It's my birthday!"
"Yes" (kiss) "Happy Birthday, Sweetheart! Now let's just have another half an hour of sleep".

She was so sunny when we finally got around to cards and gifts, and so appreciative. She dressed for school, and put on a 'Birthday Girl' sash, so everyone would know!

She was greeted by children who saw her sash, and her friends came running over and hugged her. She looked overjoyed. I hope her day continues to be wonderful. We are going out for tea tonight, at a place of the birthday girl's choice.

Princess for a Day fits her perfectly. She really is!

Now I must dash. I have a birthday cake to make, preparations for the birthday sleepover tomorrow night, with 4 of her friends. Then, on Saturday morning we are off to the cinema and lunch with all the girls in her class (there are only 10).
3 days celebrating. The Queen only has 2 birthdays!
