Been a rough day. Lots of administrative things to get done - some of which dealt with (relatively efficiently to be fair) by impersonal and totally un-empathic administrators. Not an experience to be repeated anytime soon.

There were however a lot of lovely things happening today too. A lot of good friends, some of whom we've met since joining blip, have been in touch. I think everybody finds it difficult to know just what to say. After all, 23... Just doesn't seem right or fair a lot of the time.

But as we told the kids from a very young age, nobody ever said life was fair. It just is... and maybe the words are really quite unimportant. It's the act of saying them that matters really.

Anyway, the blip... it was a late one and I almost didn't bother, but I took this image of a lithoprint by Marilyn Manson. His images are all rather dark, but I thought this one captured the mood of the day perfectly.
