ok.
two reasons for this particular post.
1. it's a freaking grey, drizzly, cold-ass day and i needed to inject some color into my world and just thought i should share the love.
2. the ring. the ring is so cool. i did a little bit of christmas shopping on sunday and went to my most favorite shop of all, work the metal.
i was a good girl and knocked a couple of friends off my list, however, at the check out counter, i saw this precious little monkey ring and asked the guy, "please sir, do you have some more?" no, i didn't take a dickensian approach, i'm kidding about that. but i did ask if there were more monkies to be had and he said he thought he might have another. i said i would need to drop some pretty aggressive hints. and then i said, what the hell, and bought the monkie for myself.

and a parting note; i shared with the shopkeeper that my two absurd passions are monkies and cake, in equal measure. and he said "how cool would it be if you had a monkie who brought you cake?" i nearly swooned!
