A Great Big Shard of Ugly

In London today, but thanks to Southern Railway's incompetence* my only blipping opportunity was a snatched 10 minutes on London Bridge platform.

This is "The Shard" - planned to be London's tallest building when finished. It's vying for first place with next door Guy's Hospital for London's Ugliest Building. Maybe Boris is reserving the London Bridge area as the Capital's Centre for Ugly?

(* despite having closed down the lines around here seemingly every weekend for the past five years for "engineering works", the whole network still seems to collapse whenever a sparrow farts in the direction of a train signal. Which leaves me - steaming - on a replacement bus service)
