Colour and Banalism
I've just got in from another fascinating and thought provoking lecture in the Seeing Photography series.
Tonight it was Colour and Banalism, '...Investigating how the tragically ordinary became the transcendent extraordinary and the effect this had (and continues to have) on art and commercial photography today' using William Eggleston's Red Room as the starting point.
Fantastic stuff.
To celebrate I took a photograph that was colourful, banal and fashionably out of focus.
So there.
