School trip

We accompanied Breeze and her class to the various war memorials dotted around Newcastle City Centre. With clipboard, paper and pencils in hand they sketched the statues, wrote down strange words (latin) and generally took in as much as we knew about the memorials and life around the different wars - of course the boys in the class were very interested in the different kinds of weapons used.

At the last stop were several boxes filled with sand to poppies and crosses to be placed in in rememberance of those involved in the various conflicts through out the ages. Breeze and her friend Aimee placed their poppies as a nice gesture and although I managed to get a couple of photos none carried the weight or blipiness of this one.

Shame really as both the girls had huge grins on their faces...
