The Iron Bridge

This is the 1st cast iron bridge in the world, constructed between 1779 and 1781. Its in the town of Ironbridge and spans Ironbridge Gorge.

I can't help wondering what those places were called before the bridge came along. Nobridge and Nobridge Gorge, perhaps.
