Chickadees in Muskoka

I was closing up the cottage today with my dad, and noticed that there were many small birds hovering in and around the low hanging branches near the lake. They seemed to be calling to each other, and wouldn't stay in one spot for long. They were definitely not afraid of humans, sometimes passing by my head at a distance of no more than six inches. The sound of the chickadees beating their wings was surprisingly loud.
