Football Fan

Today was Cup Final Day here in Ireland. Shamrock Rovers versus Sligo Rovers. I have had an interest in the Shamrocks all my life and saw them win this cup in 1956..... yes, that's 1956. This today however was probabably the worst game of football I have ever seen. Scoreless at full time. Scorelass after extra time and in the penalty shoot out only 2 were scored out of the 8 taken with Shams missing all four of theirs. Victory to Sligo by 2-0 on penalties. I don't think I have ever heard of any team missing 4 consequetive penalties. At least they won the league which is the major prize.
Behind me in the crowd was this fine example of a football supporter. Very popular with his peers, all dolled up for the occasion and believe it or not, he actually knew a thing or two about football.
Very late posting this blip. It's 11pm and we are only just back from the game so wont be able to do comments tonight. Will try to get through a few in the morning. Night all!
