Apple betty

An Apple Betty. No I'd never heard of it either. We saw something similar being made of an TV program last night, and my son taken with the name did a search to try and find one. We had almost all the ingredients (no fresh lemons) so we gave it a go. I think he liked the name, we made an apple Charlotte the other week, and I think he wants to work through all the female names of apple puddings!

Anyway - it made a nice follow up to roast beef, Yorkshire puddings and steamed marrow + seasonal veg (as they say).
