Caving Cubs...
...early start for the baton handover with Nancy at Cub Camp. She had to come back to Edinburgh to study, so (and as Scout Camp had been rained off) I willingly ventured to Fordell Firs to help with the Cubs and Beaver Scout Camp. Sometimes at these big camps I can go the whole weekend with hardly a word exchanged with Owen; he does his thing and I'm off being busy with the little people. However, today I was lucky enough to be allocated Owen's caving group, and we had great fun crawling about in dark passages....steady there.
Later, Owen and I collected Dawn and Robin from Edinburgh Airport and returned to our house. They collected their car, but found that the battery was flat. Our jump leads weren't making a difference and so the AA were sent for. Mr AA soon got it started but pointed out that Halfords jump leads, even their heavy duty leads, only work once and then are useless.....hurumph.
Realised that a relatively new blipper was an old friend of mine from many moons ago when he subscribed to me today. Hi Tim.
That's what I said.
