The Village Poon Choi Celebration
The whole village was invited to a massive Poon Choi this evening to celebrate my sister getting married earlier in the year. This was a party the whole village is invited to and thrown by my dad in honour of the bride and groom.
This is an old fashion tradition that only the 'country folk' do. Everybody sits together and eats together in the Village Square. There is a 'Poon Choi' in the middle of every table and everyone tucks in.
We broke a few village 'Poon Choi' records tonight.
The Most Tables (18 )
Biggest Firecracker (10,000)
Loudest Karaoke ( it could clearly be heard still from my children's room when they were trying to sleep at 11pm )
Longest Duration ( see point above, it started at 6 and finished at about 11.30pm which is a long time in Poon Choi terms )
In this picture the man with the Mic is my Uncle singing 'Congratulations' by Cliff Richards on the Karaoke. A top night.
