When the photo and the story don't match
Sunday is still windy here, bit of cloud and plenty of sun to make it a perfect day for washing. How exciting does that sound? Well, sometimes happiness is really simple and it comes in the simple things of life. So, I didn't do any washing today : )
I was simply looking for paper I couldn't find and ended up with a bag full for the recycling and a tidy cupboard. No wasted ennergy there!
Then it was time for my simply cake recipe that can't go wrong unless you try to get the cake out too soon and it breaks. Well, nothing lost in the taste so just on the plate with it. Hubby wipped up his famous coleslaw and off to the shop to get sausies and some burgers for the BBQ to attend. Started about half an hour ago. Then our simple, lucky day went a bit pear shaped so to say; we ran out of petrol in the middle of the road. Lucky again as the road is slightly down hill that way. Son and I had to push just a little and ended up running after the car (with hubby behind the wheel). Completely oblivious of the rest of the world, we were both running in the middle of the road (which is the local highway going through town) until a bright truck driver stopped and got my son safely on the footpath to meet with the embarrashed mum, who thanked him for caring.
Socially peculiar as I am, I took some photos at the BBQ, had a laugh or two, ate yummy food, some good conversations. and sparklers to finish.
Interesting day so to say.....
