good food

I wanted to show you my messy bread & gravy but it didn't LOOK appetizing - it was SOOOO yummy but truthfully it looked pretty disgusting.

Rachelsmom & OrygonHomeBoy invited us over for roast with veggies & gravy tonight. In my family, we enjoy bread & gravy as much as the rest of the meal. Probably a good thing to teach kids in a large family. "if you're still hungry, there's more gravy". The whole meal was so good. one of those evenings it's a real challenge not to overeat..and then butterfinger ice cream to top it off! We won't need to eat for the rest of the week.

another "also ran" were my birthday cards - I feel special when 4 brothers & 2 sisters send me cards! I spent most of the week celebrating getting a year older & one more year closer to retirement. Out for dinner 3 times & twice for lunch! Now we have started celebrating our anniversary - 43 years on Thursday! eehaw! Anniversary's mean a lot. Birthdays you just need to keep alive - anniversary's you have to work for!
