Back to the Birds

First huge thanks to everyone for all your amazing comments on my 200th Blip. I will thanking all of you through the auspices of your journals soon - Cheers :)

Now back to the birds and back to the excuses. Had it all - not enough time, poor light and general lack of birds today. I have noticed recently that for no apparent reason the feeders on occasion were deserted and it soon became apparent that we have acquired a visiting Sparrowhawk which has made the songbirds very nervous indeed. It sits in a huge Fir Tree near the house and although I haven't see it attack yet, whenever it is about the other birds are not!

This Chaffinch settled briefly on the patio to grab some sunflower seeds and the Dunnocks are usually creeping about on the ground generally out of harms reach.
