Old Bingley

This is a view of the oldest part of Bingley - our nearest town - taken from the car window as we queued at the traffic lights this morning. ( Don't worry I wasn't driving!)
The Parish church is surrounded by old houses with gardens that back onto the river and are liable to flooding in extreme weather. The river (River Aire) is a little high at the moment but not dangerously so, surprisingly and this is the bridge that was closed for 6 months earlier this year making our commute of little more than a mile into a trek!
