Disaster/nostalgia

So many things have not gone well lately, but I think yesterday took the biscuit.

By chance I discovered that our neighbours' (who live above us) central heating pipes were slowly leaking into our loft for quite some time.
The only reason it wasn't spotted was because many things were soaking up the water, including the extra mattresses for our motor home, 4 sleeping bags, a big box of drawings from Gillian's primary school days, some photographs, my diplomas from RSAMD and Jordanhill College!!!!! aaaarrrrgh!

Fortunately all these lovely wee clothes, including some beautiful knitting done by my Mum, survived because I had them well wrapped. I had to lay them out to give them an airing.
I now know, on a very low level, how bad it must be for these poor folks who have their houses totally flooded. It's not a nice smell!
I know that it is crazy to keep these things but they are so lovely I can't part with them!

Sorry about the rant - It's great to be blipping again on a computer that is now working 1000%.
