The High Jump

There's a new little deli in town on hwy 101. The Tioga Mini Mart and Deli. It's as close to a New York style deli as we have. He makes his own food....with real ingredients. Fresh fruit smoothies, gyros, bison burgers, Borscht, fudge, brownies and, of course, deli sandwiches.

Located at the base of an historic hotel (The Tioga Hotel~ converted to apartments with an excellent view of the bay) there are comings and goings all day. I love the sense of community when patrons and shop owners recognize each other and pause for friendly conversation. That's what I found here today.
