Last light

Another beautiful day today. The sun was shining, but the air was cool. There was a giant fire just South of my home. My son and I noticed it while driving back from picking him at school. As we got closer, we realized how close it was to our home. The smoke cloud was far too big to be a home though. Phew.

I couldn't find a great vantage point to capture the smoke plume. Such a bummer.

I did a lot of research, documenting, and writing at work today. I'm totally spent.

I'm probably tired from my incredible weird dreams I had last night. In the first dream, my body was overtaken by some strange black smoke. I wasn't able to get it out of me, and it was controlling me. I started yelling Help and was quickly awakened by my husband. Ugh.

My second dream was just completely humorous and totally insane. I was at Disneyland, and Steve Martin was proposing to me. There were fireworks, a band where my step-brother Michael was singing country songs and a giant diamond ring. But it was Steve Martin! He's twice my age. Weird.

Anyways, I stopped off on the way home and propped my camera on the old log in the bay. I did some fancy HDR work on it to get it looking nice, and now I'm calling it quits.
