Today's the day ....................... to watch the salmon leap

Rushed out at lunchtime for a quick walk by the river. Was completely captivated to see several salmon trying (and succeeding) to leap up the weir where the water was pouring down in great torrents. What a good blip that would make, I thought.

A while later, when I thought - if I don't get back to work soon, I'm in big trouble - I gave up trying to capture the actual moment when salmon left water behind for a few milliseconds.

Would you accept this nice view of a couple taking a dog for a walk along the riverside with Kendal Castle in the background instead?

ps I'm not going to give up - I shall try again ...........?!
