Black-capped Chickadee
Went looking yesterday for some unusual birds for the area. There is a boreal Chickadee present, these are usually in the far north and a Leconte's sparrow, which is usually in the South and West. We did find the Leconte's sparrow, but the boreal Chickadee eluded us. However, a common Chickadee gave us many opportunities for pictures. I captured this one. Hang in the near getting ready to land on a pinecone where it eats the seeds.
