Has she finished yet?

Molly has always been a greedy eater. She was the only bitch in a litter of four, and I think that right from the beginning, she had to fight for her food.

We imagined, when she joined our family, that she & Jess would eat side by side - but it never happened. Despite the fact that Molly was just weeks old, and Jess a full-grown adult of 30 months, Molly would push Jess off her bowl and grab as much of both meals before we could interfere.

So we have to feed them separately. Jess gets her food in the hall, and Molly in the conservatory.

But old habits die hard. Molly still wolfs down her meal and goes to see if there are any pickings chez Jess. But at least she takes heed of our warnings, and she does not (now) hassle Jess before Jess herself walks away from her bowl.
