Lovely building, now home to a long running musical.

But in 1981 everything was different - in October of that year this is where I saw the Clash, the best band ever ever.

They started by bursting through dry ice and a 'Checkpoint Charlie' style stage set-up with a bang bang bang version of "One More Time" - two and a half hours later this 17 year old boy had seen the best gig by the best band EVER,

I'm 45 years old now, and still, whenever I think about that night, the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. And I am still to this day very proud to be able to say:

"I saw the Clash".
