Two minute silence
When I was younger, the phrase 'four minute warning' was prevalent. This referred to another war - one that thankfully never culminated in arms. But it is a real shame that we stand in silence for those killed in prior wars, and yet our country is engaged right now in a war of dubious legitimacy. A war that has cost the UK billions, while we in higher education, teaching, the NHS, and other public services take the hit. And don't even get me started on that tosser Bush.
