Imogen Heap

Just got back from an amazing evening of musical genius from this lady and her talented band. What a treat! It was definitely the most unusual and original gig I?ve been to yet. She just engaged so much with the audience, chatting away, sharing anecdotes and telling the story behind each song and for a couple even getting us to sing along as her accompaniment! And such a fascinating gig to watch, there is just so much going on with all the little gadgets and techy stuff (such an original and creative set and lighting) and all the weird and wonderful sounds from using a saws to wine glasses to toy birds which make sound effects... You could tell she?s had (and was having) so much fun coming up with all these crazy amazing ideas to make the richly textured luxurious sound that is her music. Before one of the songs she announced that it was her favourite and said ?If I wasn?t me then I would wish I was me just to be able to play this song! Which made me laugh...
