Another well, well!

The wells were not ready for installation in some of the areas the Ungweru had indicated.
The well down the valley where no men came to help was very narrow about 70cm and the water depth was 10cm. We couldn't install the pump, but told them to dig it deeper and take out the bricks and make it wider.
The only satisfying well was the last one at Ekaiweni which has so much water in it and is wide enough, but the brickwork is not finished. I told them to finish it and we will install it tomorrow evening.
I have visited these wells to give the details and make the covers.
Of course wells are men's work or at least they make the decisions, but usually they take the easy way out, not digging deep enough or wide enough.
Really, men in Malawi are just too lazy, and the women do almost all the work.
If the Country is to make progress, then it will be the women who will do it
