For Blip's sake
A gentleman on the radio this morning:
"I believe in the principle that torture is wrong. It is wrong to torture anyone for information. I one hundred per cent believe in that. However, we don't live in an ideal world. So if waterboarding is the only way we can stop our children being killed then we have to do it."
i) Who said principles only counted in an ideal world?
ii) When did we ever live in an ideal world?
iii) Why do we always take recourse to children when we throw logic out of the window?

Popped out mid-afternoon to find my bank now shuts nearly two hours earlier than it used to. RBS, the people's bank, owned by the taxpayer. We, the people, the man in the street, the sausage maker aboard the Clapham Omnibus, own this behemoth. We are the owners of a bank. Whatever....
So, I took some truly awful pictures while I was out. As proof, here is the least bad of them.
