Outside looking in

Instead of working our way through that never-ending 'list of things to do' today, we took the afternoon off and went for a (mostly) terrific ride on the moto... mostly terrific excepting the cold & rainy ride home; other than that it was great to be out and about. It was a beautiful fall day, on the cusp of winter with snow in the mountains, hovering dark clouds and bright patches of sunshine that made the colors of the vineyards gleam on the hills.

Of course, the camera stayed out of the rain... so no pictures of the gleaming countryside, only of the local pizza joint where we ate dinner (because no one had been to the market to buy food for cooking).
