An early start

An early morning trip to Béziers to take E to catch her train, in wonderful light as yesterday's rain clouds were clearing and we could see the snow-topped Pyrenees in the distance.

On the way back I noticed this row of old and newer shops in Espondeilhan, with the clock and bell above the post office. The bell was just striking nine as I passed.

Worth a look in LARGE to see the architectural details including the traditional Languedocian and Catalan terracotta gutter on the older building on the right.
