Lakes & Mountains

The down-side to driving at night is that we missed the scenery as we climbed up to our destination, but we opened our curtains this morning and had our breakfast this morning looking out at stunning views of the Tatras. A brisk(ish) and very bracing walk around the lake followed, after learning that all of the cable cars in the region was closed for maintenance being that it was 'between seasons'. Our plan had been to drive to the foot of the 2nd highest peak and cable-car it up to the cafe on top. The alternative, which we promptly dismissed, was to walk it. Ha!

So after feeling all virtuous again after our lovely breakfast, we donned our robes and headed for the hotel's best feature: its spa! I'm trying to think of an adjective to describe the rest of the day. Oh here's one: Four letters, starts with L, ends in USH. The nicest spa facility I've been to.

A 90-minute treatment in the early evening cannot be described here, because you'll simply delete me from your blip subscriptions.
